Section 2 stater conditions on the input for systems with partially known two excitation conditions involving both u(r) and y(t). stated transfer functions. The assumed transfer function model is i n Dasgupta n a1. (1985. 1988) and shows how they are [p,(s) + KIP(r)]/[q,,(s) + KrQ(s)]. where K is the unknown equivalent. Section 3 translates these to input-only parameter vector p,,(s). q,,(s) are known scalar polynomials conditions. Section 4 discusses cenain implications of the and P(s) and Q(s) are known vector polynomials. results in Section 3. Section 4 concludes.

Application to Adaptive Control to Synchronous Machine Excitation
Self-tuning adaptive control technique has the advantage of being able to track the system operating conditions so that satisfactory control action can always be produced. Self-tuning algorithms can be implemented easily. Because the power systems are usually time varying non-linear systems and their parameters vary, adaptive controllers are very suitable for power systems. Characteristics of a...

The problem of identifying a partially known linear, time invariant system is considered where the unknowness is that associated with a limited number of physical components comprising the system or with physical parameters affecting parc of the system. This unknowness translates to structural conditions on the system transfer function or a state variable representation of the system, and the a...
متن کاملThe Effects of Excitation Control Systems on Parallel Operation of DGs with the Main Grid
This paper presents actual cases of steady reactive power oscillation of Distributed Generations (DGs) during parallel operation with the main grid. The cause of the problem was found to be the adverse effects of excitation system voltage regulation. It is shown, through preliminary investigation and detailed simulation studies, that how the excitation control system can be modified to overcome...
متن کاملAsymptotically-Stable Adaptive-Optimal Control Algorithm with Saturating Actuators and Relaxed Persistence of Excitation
This paper proposes a control algorithm based on adaptive dynamic programming to solve the infinite-horizon optimal control problem for known deterministic nonlinear systems with saturating actuators and non-quadratic cost functionals. The algorithm is based on an actor/critic framework where a critic neural network is used to learn the optimal cost and an actor neural network is used to learn ...
متن کاملLoss of Excitation Detection in Doubly Fed Induction Generator by Voltage and Reactive Power Rate
The doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) is one of the most popular technologies used in wind power systems. With the growing use of DFIGs and increasing power system dependence on them in recent years, protecting of these generators against internal faults is more considered. Loss of excitation (LOE) event is among the most frequent failures in electric generators. However, LOE detection stud...
